Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese wisdom that relies on the laws of nature to promote the body to heal naturally and improve functioning on all levels.
Chinese medicine recognizes that there is a vital force that flows through our bodies called Qi. When this flow is disrupted we see symptoms of dis-ease show up within the mind and body. This can be pain, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, anxiety, depression, digestive disorders, headaches, as well as many others.
Through the use of acupuncture needles, Gua sha, cupping, and essential oils, we can create smooth flow and bring the body back into a state of balance, easing and resolving symptoms so you can live a life with ease and comfort.

FAQs
Will acupuncture help my…?
The great thing about acupuncture is that it can help with just about everything. When the body is out of balance and Qi is not flowing smoothly we see symptoms show up. These symptoms can be physical, emotional, or spiritual. By receiving acupuncture and smoothing out the flow of QI, we watch symptoms disappear.
Do I have to be sick to come for acupuncture?
Absolutely not! I like to use the analogy of a car. What happens when you ignore servicing your car or getting the oil changed? Eventually it will putter out and be an even bigger problem and bigger expense.
Our bodies are very similar; if we keep going ignoring our flashing red lights eventually it will be too late. Think of acupuncture as your regular service or tune up.
If you are thinking you don’t have any red flashing lights, I can assure you that you simply cannot see them. Acupuncture will teach you to recognize these flashing lights and understand what they are trying to tell you.
What is a treatment like?
The first treatment is an opportunity for me to get to know you and vice versa. I will learn about your medical history, current issues, and your personal life. During the physical I will look at body structure, palpate the abdomen, and listen to pulses that are located on the wrist. You will receive an acupuncture treatment at the first treatment.
During follow up visits we will talk about how you have been since the last visit, on all levels, mind, body, and spirit. Once the needles are in they may stay there anywhere from 15-45 minutes. The needles are then removed and the treatment will come to an end.
How often do I need to come to treatment?
Most people will notice great results within 6-8 weeks of treatment, though many will begin to notice a shift much sooner. At the beginning it is recommended that the patient come in once a week to get the best results. when the patient feels they are making progress, treatments can be spaced out to bi-weekly or monthly appointments.
I encourage you to schedule an appointment and learn about your symptoms and how acupuncture will serve you.
